Instant Rails

Instant Rails is a one-stop Rails runtime solution containing Ruby, Rails, Apache, and MySQL, all pre-configured and ready to run. No installer, you simply drop it into the directory of your choice and run it. It does not modify your system environment. See the Release Notes for a complete list of what is included.

2006-01-05 Instant Rails 1.0 final. has been released. This upgrades the included Ruby to version 1.8.4 and fixes the Configure SCGI Dialog to initialize from the current settings instead of default values.

2005-12-24 Instant Rails 1.0 preview8 has been released. This is identical to preview7 except that it restores the missing "log" subdirectories in the sample rails apps (cookbook and Typo).

2005-12-15 Instant Rails 1.0 preview7 has been released. This upgrades Ruby on Rails to final 1.0 Release and includes [Typo] as a sample app.

2005-11-07 Instant Rails 1.0 preview5 has been released. This upgrades Ruby on Rails to 1.0 Release Candidate 4 (aka 0.14.3).

2005-11-01 Instant Rails 1.0 preview4 has been released. A very minor update that puts ...\mysql\bin on the path when you open a Ruby console window.

2005-10-27 Instant Rails 1.0 preview3 has been released. This fixes a a few annoying bugs and updates Rails to 1.0 Release Candidate 3 (aka 1.14.2).

2005-10-12 Instant Rails 1.0 preview2 has been released. This fixes a serious bug in the SCGI Rails Runner.

2005-10-11 Instant Rails 1.0 preview1 has been released.
